Daragh Fleming
Daragh Fleming is a multi-disciplinary artist known primarily for his poetry. He uses a conversational approach to talk about important topics such as mental health, masculinity, violence against women, and much more.
He uses creativity as a means to destigmatise and open up discussions about our minds, inviting people to think through his poetry rather than lecturing or leading them. It is only through his own vulnerability as an artist, that he can encourage audiences to be comfortable with their own.

ALL ABOUT Daragh
It all started with his award-winning blog - Thoughts Too Big - which offered an outlet for all the discoveries he made while studying for his BA in Applied Psychology. It was a gateway into more formal writing and an opportunity to see just how words, whether written, spoken or heard, can change our minds. He wanted to convince others that their mental health struggles could not reduce their inherent value, and he soon realised that his words, honestly and authentically shared, could help that happen.
In time he did change people’s minds, and was soon recognised for the power of his writing. He won the From The Well Short Story Competition in 2021, was highly commended for the Patrick Kavanagh Award and the Fool For Poetry Prize. He was longlisted for the Cúirt New Writing Prize, The London Magazine Poetry Prize, and shortlisted for the Alpine Fellowship Poetry Prize. His work has appeared in The Irish Times, Gutter Magazine, Trasna, The Ogham Stone and many other publications. He also gave a TEDx Talk about how we can use creativity to forge a path through poor mental health.
Daragh continues to choose his words carefully, because he cares about those who choose to listen. So join him as he explores our existence, identity and introspection.
Whether you decide to speak, read or listen, there is meaning to be found in this conversation.
